Jobs.com.cy Recruitment, on behalf of our client, an expanding Investment Firm with offices across the island, is seeking to recruit a Back-Office Officer to join their team in either Paphos or Limassol. The successful candidate will ideally have an academic background in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field. While previous relevant professional experience is advantageous, it is not required, as full training will be provided. Junior-level applicants are encouraged to apply. Please note that this position involves rotational shift patterns.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily Task Management: Oversee the daily execution of tasks related to client deposits, withdrawals, affiliate withdrawals, and account management, including opening, maintenance, and closures.
- Authorization: Approve client withdrawals based on the company’s thresholds.
- Risk Assessment: Lead the risk assessment of all transactions related to deposits, withdrawals, and credits to identify potential fraud and related issues, and take necessary actions.
- Query Resolution: Resolve internal and external queries promptly and professionally.
- KYC Procedure: Implement Know Your Client (KYC) procedures for all potential and existing clients.
- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare various regulatory reports related to back-office operations.
- Process Improvement: Proactively measure and improve operational processes.
- Enhancing Procedures: Identify and enhance internal procedures, systems, and controls.
- Communication: Liaise with other internal departments and the company’s partners.
- Support: Provide high-level communication and support to the company’s partners and white labels.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress and management reports, including KPIs.
- Initiative and Delegation: Take initiative, delegate effectively, and communicate clearly to meet departmental goals.
- Additional Duties: Undertake additional or other duties as required.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferable but not mandatory.
- Professional Experience: Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous but not required.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Language Skills: High fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and monitoring skills.
- Professionalism: Strong sense of professionalism, organizational, and analytical skills.
