As a GDPR Consultant, you will be instrumental in advising clients on privacy-related matters and ensuring compliance with evolving data protection regulations.

Our client seeks candidates with a strong educational background in law and a minimum of three years of proven experience in data protection and privacy laws. Proficiency in both Greek and English is required, along with in-depth knowledge of EU GDPR and national data protection laws. The firm offers an attractive remuneration package, including flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client Advisory on Privacy Matters: Offer expert advice to clients on a broad spectrum of privacy-related issues, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection laws and best practices.
  • Privacy Practice Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' data protection and privacy practices, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Privacy Program Development: Develop and implement robust privacy program frameworks tailored to clients’ specific needs, ensuring comprehensive data protection measures are in place.
  • Policy and Standards Development: Create and maintain organizational privacy policies, standards, and guidelines that comply with the latest legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Inventory Management: Perform detailed data inventories to map and understand data flows, assisting clients in maintaining accurate records of data processing activities.
  • Privacy Assessments and Audits: Conduct privacy assessments, gap analyses, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and audits to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of clients' data protection measures.
  • Contractual and Documentation Support: Assist clients in negotiating and drafting data processing and data sharing agreements, and other privacy-related documentation, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Data Protection Awareness Training: Raise awareness among clients and their employees about data protection principles and best practices, fostering a culture of compliance within their organizations.
  • Data Protection Officer (DPO) Services: Serve as the Data Protection Officer for clients or support their designated DPO or Privacy Officer, providing expert guidance and oversight on all data protection matters.
  • EU and UK Representative Role: Act as part of the EU and UK Representative team for clients, meeting the regulatory requirements of the EU GDPR and UK GDPR respectively.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Law (LLB and/or LLM), providing a solid foundation in legal principles and practices.
  • Data Protection Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in data protection and privacy laws, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and practical application.
  • Expert Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of EU GDPR and national data protection laws, ensuring clients receive accurate and informed advice.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous and will be considered favorably.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications, with the ability to leverage technology for efficient data management and communication.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Autonomous Work Ethic: Capable of working independently at all stages of a case, demonstrating initiative and self-sufficiency in managing responsibilities.
  • Professionalism and Ethics: Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions and transactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
  • Client Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding client service, maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating responsibility and professionalism in all dealings.
