The ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative, capable of understanding user needs and identifying innovative solutions. A keen eye for clean, artful web and mobile application design and superior user interface skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at making data-driven UI/UX decisions by setting up, maintaining, and monitoring user engagement tools’ KPIs and metrics to understand user behavior and suggest improvements.
Our client is looking for applicants with a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Visual Arts, or a related discipline, and approximately 5+ years of proven experience in product design for digital products. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Market and Industry Research: Conduct market and industry design research and analysis to ensure competitiveness.
- Visual Design: Produce and maintain visual designs for web and mobile products, including color palettes, typography, and layouts.
- Prototyping: Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Presentation: Present product design ideas and take direction as needed.
- Design Guidelines: Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Data-Driven Enhancements: Identify opportunities for product or feature enhancements using data-driven techniques, interpreting user engagement KPIs, conducting surveys, etc.
- Interactive Prototypes: Create interactive, animated UI prototypes.
- Design Iteration: Iterate existing designs to meet industry or users’ needs.
- User Testing: Conduct concept, usability, and user testing, gather user feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of the product design.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Accessibility Compliance: Ensure design materials meet accessibility standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Travel: Willingness to travel abroad to discuss with customers and users.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: BSc in Design, BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Visual Arts, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in a Product Design/Management team for digital products like web and/or mobile platforms.
- Customer Insight: Intuitive ability to identify customer needs beyond prominent features and functionality.
- Collaboration: Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Research and Feedback: Ability to conduct, interpret, and present qualitative and quantitative feedback and research.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for conveying design concepts and user research.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel abroad as required.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and delegation skills.
- Client Objectives: Understanding and executing client objectives.
- Design Skills: Demonstrable UX, UI, and graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Prototyping: Comfortable with rapid prototyping and testing.
- Language: Fluency in English is essential.
