Senior .NET Developer

Jobs.com.cy Recruitment is proud to collaborate with a longstanding and expanding software solutions provider within the Financial Services sector to recruit a Senior .NET Developer for their growing team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and implementing system changes and/or new products tailored to the needs of both clients and the internal business. Ideally, candidates will possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with over three years of proven software development experience, and demonstrate strong proficiency in C# .NET and .NET Core. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements to define system design.
• Write or modify highly complex systems.
• Observe, test, debug, and rectify software faults.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data for new or existing systems.
• Conduct research and analysis to support solution design.
• Develop and produce comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, unit test scripts, and APIs.
• Implement industry best security standards (such as OWASP) in software design and code.
• Provide guidance to developers and participate in code reviews.

Key Skills and Experience:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong coding skills in C# .NET and .NET Core.
• Approximately 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• At least 1+ years of recent experience with high-frequency, mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in RDBMS systems and excellent SQL capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize coding design patterns.
• Proven team leadership abilities.
• Excellent problem analysis skills.
• Superior communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Git, CI, and CD tools such as DevOps, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
• Experience with Banking or Payments systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban methodologies is advantageous.
